For my class podcast I’m proposing 5 minutes of abstract musical sound design to move the body and the mind to other places. I will use Logic Pro and a multitude of synthesizers and a drum machine to compose these podcasts.
1. John Digweed’s Transisions Podcast : SUBSCRIBE
This is a podcast I always check for as Digweed is one of my favorite DJs, and he’s always having on artists that showcase their specific styles of music.
2. Dancenode Radio : SUBSCRIBE
I metion this podcast as we have a monthly residency on this internet radio show, so check it out! Mostly trance, but we bring the house, tech house, minimal and techno to the trance heads once a month!
3. Ibiza-Voice : LINK
This is a podcast I just found through researching electronic music podcasts this assignment. Great mixes by all the current great artists and DJs in the international scene. Loving the mix by Luna City Express right now!
4. Resident Advisor : SUBSCRIBE
Resident advisor is one of the scenes popular sources for information on DJs, labels, producers, and events around the world. They also have a Podcast featuring mixes from the scenes most active members.
5. Beatportal : LINK
Beatportal is the community portal for popular electronic music store Beatport. They have forums, remix contests, and news articles from all corners and genres of the scene. Their podcasts keep in line showcasing all styles of electronic music from around the world. From House, to Chill Out, to Drum & Bass, to Trance, and more. They also have podcasts showcasing the hottest tunes on their Beatport music store.
